Each year, Scuba Diving magazine accepts entries for the annual “Through Your Lens” underwater photography contest.

This contest is open for ONE month and is live as of today. Yep, you heard me right, start prepping those photos and be sure to submit them before the June 8, 2023 deadline.

As always, the prizes are epic—a grand prize in cash, FIVE liveaboard trips from Aggressor Adventures and two from All Star Liveaboards, top-notch regulators from Scubapro, and travel-friendly photography gear from SeaLife Cameras.

You DO stand a chance of winning so don’t “not enter” just because you think we won’t look at your submission. We look at every single submission. The competition will be judged by Scuba Diving magazine staffers, PADI staff and external professional photographers (we'll give them their spotlight shortly).

This year the categories include:

• Wide-angle
• Blackwater
• Conceptual
• Behavior
• Amateur

Entrants will be allowed to submit up to five photographs per category (more than this is grounds for disqualification from the competition).

We encourage photographers of ALL skill levels to enter, both professional and beginner.

In fact, for newbies to the endeavor, this year you’re in luck. You don’t have to be a professional photographer to check “Enter an underwater photo contest” off your bucket list, not with the new “Amateur Category” dedicated wholly to those who have never placed in any photo contest before.
